    Whenever you saw Green Bay Packers linebacker on the field, it was instantly noticeable: the blonde — and to be hypercritical, a big scraggly — mess of hair escaping out of the back of his helmet, so long, it not only obscured the name on the back of his jersey but the number as well. . .

  • Solar Cookers 

    I've been watching The Amazing Race again this season, mostly because there's an awesome Madison team racing this year. They've won the first two legs and have proved themselves to be kind of kickass. So anyway, one of the tasks last week was to assemble a solar kitchen.   • Haiti quake put NW survivor on new path in life 

    When Haiti's earthquake hit, Rachel Prusynski was visiting her friend, Molly Hightower of Port Orchard, who was doing volunteer work with orphans and special-needs children. Hightower, 22, died, trapped by rubble. Prusynski, on a higher floor of the collapsed building, was rescued, a survivor of the epic disaster that slammed Haiti two years ago Thursday.
