Oregon’s Chip Kelly ‘close’ to landing Bucs job

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaching search has been quiet the last few days but on Sunday night a potentially earth-shaking report emerged that has Oregon Ducks coach Chip Kelly leaving his gig in Eugene to take a job with the Bucs.

That report comes from KGW Sports’ Michael Berk who says that Kelly is “working to finalize a deal that would make him head coach of the Tampa Bay Bucs.”

Berk adds that Kelly will “make the jump” if he can “come to terms on a contract,” so let’s hold the horses on assuming that this is a done deal, at least for now.
