Packers stock sale features typo, delivery glitches
“I can understand errors in the printing process and things that go wrong, but it’s pretty disappointing to spend $525 on a Christmas present and not even have it for Christmas, or be able to find out where it is,” Brooke Messenger of Milwaukee recently told the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
“We were disappointed to learn this. It’s a miss for us,” Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey told the Press-Gazette.

The “Green Boy Packers” certificate may be a goldmine if he hangs on to it. It’s like a baseball error card.

As the comments to that article show, Pro Football Talk is trying to “rather” this with some rather bad photoshopping. Real stock certificates have a Lambeau Field watermark on them that extends below the “Green Bay Packers, Inc.” title.
Seriously lame. I’ll post a sample – just gotta photoshop a name out.

Also, the only thing on the certificate is the name, so I don’t know what the rest of the info they’re blocking out is.

Also note that the fake one is missing a “/” in the share too

I think you’re being a little nutty in alleging that PFT is photoshopping things. It’s not even their original story.
It’s probably a proof, the result of a “test run” by the printer.

I don’t think so – look at the way the name and share number is typed – it’s even darker than an actual certificate. FAKE. FAKE. FAKE.
