Don’t put Bielema on the firing line
Even with a day to “cool off,” plenty of Wisconsin fans are steaming mad at Bret Bielema.
I get that.
For many in Badger Nation, hating Bielema is a default setting. They don’t like the brush cut or the brusque persona, which prompted my colleague, Bill Johnson, to compare the coach to Biff from “Back to the Future.”
Some people don’t like the way Bielema recruits. Many — and I mean many — quibble with his handling of things like special teams and clock management.
A lot of people rip him for wearing a red pullover.
I get all of that.

The Madison media has its head so far up Bielema and Alvarez’s asses that they refuse to criticize them for the Rose Bowl. Instead, fans are told that we should be happy with a “very good” season and another Rose Bowl loss.
At least JS Online had one critical article
I don’t want to be Penn State and make football the only thing that matters. I’m happy with having a “very good” basketball team in part because I think that Bo Ryan is simply an exceptional man. Bret Bielema is not in the same class. He’s a buffoon.
